WELCOME TO THE PARTICIPANT’S Website FOR OA JET!
This website is only to be accessed by OA JET members. Here you will find information about the program, your instructor’s contact info, access readings, and forms for weekly reporting if you are an intern on a production or work on a freelance production job.
*Oakwood Arts is a 501c3 nonprofit so we are funded mostly by grants, because of this it is very important that we are able to report back to our funders the success of our programs. Your help and continued participation in keeping up with these job reporting forms help us to keep our programs running.
About
Our OA JET training program will be a small workshop-style setting we will have in-person meetings and training sessions tailored to provide support while OA JET participants are working on their first production jobs.
In addition to our PA Training program which will prepare participants for large-scale productions, we will also be inviting OA JET program participants to work on smaller-scale production projects. In those projects, OA JET participants will work as crew members sometimes alongside our first OA JET cohort who will also serve as excellent mentors for just starting. This program will also assist with soft skills such as resumes, how to build credit, and how to get past barriers that might prevent you from moving forward.
Your instructors
The program is led by Shannon Castleman and film industry professionals. We will have guest speakers who have worked as PAs or Department heads who can speak to what they expect of PAs. This will also be a safe place to debrief and ask questions you may be afraid to ask at work.
